The Founder
Built by a founder who stayed close to the work.
George Pilla built Ohio Rack Inc. as a hands-on operator — close to the customer, close to the work, and willing to take responsibility for whatever the business required. The company was not shaped from a distance. It was built through daily discipline and practical problem solving.
Before Ohio Rack, George served as an Army Captain. That background shows up in the standards that still define the company: organize the details, take the time to do the work correctly, and never treat execution as an afterthought.
George’s principlesWork hard. Protect the details. Do it right. Stay organized.

From Foundation to Future
From Alliance, Ohio to customers around the world.
Ohio Rack Inc. starts in Alliance, Ohio
George Pilla founded Ohio Rack Inc. with a hands-on approach and a willingness to take responsibility for every part of the work. From the beginning, the company carried the Ohio Rack name and a practical focus on durable storage solutions.
Serving demanding industrial customers
Some of Ohio Rack’s first customers came from tire manufacturing — operations that depended on organization, repeatability, and equipment that could hold up in real warehouse environments.
Eric and Ryan carry the company forward
The second generation continues to build on George’s foundation, preserving the company’s work ethic while expanding Ohio Rack’s reach, relationships, and ability to support more complex warehouse storage needs.
Layout, CAD, and customer planning
Tyler brings the next generation into the work through CAD drawings, layout conversations, and planning support for customers and the Ohio Rack team.
Warehouse Storage Logistics
Stack rack expertise with a global reach.
Ohio Rack is best known for stack racks — practical, durable storage equipment designed around how warehouses move, stage, protect, and organize material.
What began as a founder-led company in Alliance now extends through international supplier relationships and customers across five continents. The reach has expanded, but the operating idea remains direct: understand the storage problem, recommend the right solution, and stand behind the work.
People Behind the Progress
Family leadership, layout support, and new customer relationships.
The Ohio Rack story continues through the people shaping its next chapter: second-generation leadership, Tyler’s CAD and layout support, and Jesse’s focus on opening new customer relationships.
